This is a post that is two in a half years over due. Two in a half years ago I lived my dream and went to Africa. Words can't even begin to describe my experience. I have so many emotions regarding the country. I have such a strong love for the people of Uganda. I have a strong love for the land and the beauty of it. Two and a half years later and the connection I feel is still strong. I don't know why it has taken this long for me to go through my photos, and I am kicking myself for that. My experience in Uganda was incredible. I can't necessarily say that my short time over there changed me, but it did give me a greater appreciation for the small things. I learned that in this life you do not need a whole lot. As long as you have what you believe in and a great attitude on life you will be successful and happy. Your life will be full. The people I met were happy; they were humble; they had a strong desire to grow and to learn. They were an example to me. Not only was I able to help teach them, but they also taught me. And I love them so much for that.
I love the children. The children of Uganda have a special place in my heart. A couple years later I can still hear the children at Child of Hope yelling "Auntie! Auntie!" I can still feel their little fingers wrapping around the limbs of my body, wanting to walk with me. Also the school children in the mountain village Buno Buyoka singing their welcome song "This is the time, to welcome new visitors; we are we are happy to say welcome!" to us over and over again, each time we came to visit. They also loved having their picture taken. I have so many of the children. There are just too many to share.
As I said before I don't know why it has taken me this long to go through them. These are only but a small few of what I have, but these are ones that have hit me so strong each time I look at them. They stir my heart and make me have a deep desire to go back.

These are all amazing. I am jealous of all the pics you got with little kids! Tongan kids weren't quite as eager to have their picture taken haha.
